The songwriter Balbina is looking for answers. On her new and third album »Fragen über Fragen« [»Questions About Questions«], she explores the great issues: feelings, time and our understanding of it, and happiness. Balbina is equally skeptical of her own perceptions of reality, as she sings herself melancholically: »Fragen über Fragen überfragen mich. Was weiß ich? Was weiß ich denn schon …« [»Questions about questions overwhelm me. What do I know? What do I know at all ...«] But there’s no trace of strain. Rather, Balbina never gets tired of filling the white gaps in her imagination with colour.
She tries to understand dimensions that extend outside of the rims of her bowl of alphabet soup. For »Pop-Kultur«, Balbina has designed a production that portrays exactly this investigative journey for the first and only time in new dimensions – with a light installation that will premiere at »Pop- Kultur«. On this evening, Balbina and her music will glow under new light.
