Happy Meals makes pop that heads straight for the dancefloor – no beating around the bush. It isn’t overloaded, overproduced, and hackneyed like the stuff you hear all over the radio, but rather spartan, unfeigned, and packed with a healthy dose of Italo Disco. This Glasgow synth-pop duo captivates with light-footed songwriting and English/French lyrics.
With this in mind, it might not be overly bold to speculate about a revival of legendary Eurodisco, that boom phase of top-hit production that spread like wildfire across Europe.
