The mighty Liars are back at »Pop-Kultur«, just a year after they premiered their movie soundtrack »1/1« here. This time, though, Angus Andrew and his band are bringing the songs from their new – and eighth – album. You never quite know what to expect from Liars – sometimes the project is an eccentric, explosive dance-punk monster; sometimes it sails through introverted electronica reveries; and then it’s vicious, bursting noise again. They turn the irreverence up to the max, and always have. Accordingly, once again, the rule of thumb is to expect everything and nothing – except a surprise.
