»Pop-Kultur Nachwuchs« is our workshop and training programme taking place parallel to the festival. It is designed for 250 selected young talent from all fields of pop-culture, especially: musicians, producers, singers, and DJs. But the programme also provides them a chance to present their music live to the public and on one of our own festival stages: Wednesday and Thursday will feature a total of eight live sets and DJ. The acts will be picked among the »Nachwuchs« participants via an application process. Already scheduled are a performance by Berlin indie-pop newcomers Cardboard Hearts, who won the competition »Jugend musiziert Berlin«, and DJ sets by the international participants, who with support from the Goethe-Institut have travelled from various countries throughout Africa, Asia, and Eastern Europe to Berlin and »Pop-Kultur«. These may well be the festival headliners of tomorrow... You can access this event without a festival pass or a day ticket.
