Germany's perhaps best-known pair of blond braids hangs from the head of a rapper from Berlin-Köpenick. Romano is the guy with the K-factor, a hip-hopper with a weakness for metal who rides on horseback through East Berlin. In short, he’s a man like no other. The artist is said to have made drum & bass, traditional German Schlager songs, and, yes, also metal (but that wouldn’t be surprising).
After presenting himself as »Der schöne General« [»The Handsome General«] on his LP »Jenseits von Köpenick« [»Beyond Köpenick«] two years ago, Romano has a new album in his bag of tricks. He’ll be presenting it live for the first time at »Pop-Kultur«, and with dancers. A new show with new hymns and the old hairstyle. And as always, the sun rises in the east.
