»Powerful« is by far the best word to describe Soft Grid's live performances. Theresa Stroetges, Sam Slater, and Jana Sotzko (already known by some for their individual involvements in the projects Golden Diskó Ship and Dropout Patrol) are a trio of little giants. Their first album, »Corolla«, which was named after a car and appeared on the equally young label ANTIME, directed the vehicle neither towards the wall nor into the sand.
On the contrary – Soft Grid’s music has its foot on the gas, leans hard into the curve, drives over the mountain and then back down again into the valley. At times it’s brutal synthesizer rock, at times epic devotion to the flowing river of music, and at times it’s simply a hovering on the verge of silence.
