»›Do Easy‹ was a real breeze. We recorded the entire thing in five days«, say Tasseomancy. Although the second album by twin sisters Sari and Romy Lightman posed no particular challenges in its production, the eleven soft, experimental, dream-pop compositions on it are by no means amateur lightweights. Rather, they’re all their own small universes –the kind that emerge out of the whirlpool of the bathtub at home, graced by flavours of jazz, spiritual illuminations, and hash smoke.
By the way, the two Canadians’ great-grandmother was a tea-leaf reader, aka tasseomancer, by profession (hence the band name). She would have predicted a great future for her twin grandchildren – any other reading could only be the result of a great cosmic misunderstanding.
