Berlin-Friedrichshain has changed. With the demolition of the project space Antje Øklesund the local cultural programme has been thinned out, and musicians and party people lost their »livingroom«. But what was it that this venue so special to so many people? And how was its organisation actually structured? The Antje Øklesund team, still existing »in exile«, will resurrect their original for the three days of »Pop-Kultur«.
As an installation »Teilweise Antje Øklesund« [»Antje Øklesund Partly«] displays objects and floor plans from the recently demolished building. Instead of being self-»museumization«, this is rather about illustrating the various functions of cultural spaces. Enter and spend your time in this space for lingering and for discourse – there are numerous seating possibilities and opportunities for participation. Here, the utopian proposal that is and was Antje Øklesund lives on and raises the crucial question: what actually makes a »perfect« cultural space?
