They’re not bois from the future but rather bois of our (and also their) time. Exactly – bois. Boiband make an I out of a Y – half a line less for a band concept, a whole mark (or two, or three) more in the demolition plan of the social norm. Boiband demand the acceptance of pregnant daddies, the effeminisation of the West, and the establishment of a foundation to distribute welcome money to trans people.
They sing of »Herosexuals« and »Hermmaids« and take up issue with the concept of »manhood as penis talent« (in the words of the official band biography). The music itself also dodges nonsensical, restrictive classifications. This much, however, is for sure: Boiband is the performer and author Tucké Royal, the musician Hans Unstern, and the producer Black Cracker, and together they’ll perform their first (and Staatsakt-released) album for us.
